About the ASYC...

The Anthony Signorello Youth Center, located at 234 Chestnut Street, is an after school program open to all Roselle Park residents for students to socialize, do homework, have access to computers in a supervised area and also enjoy organized recreational sports and activities in the gym. This service has been available to all students of the Roselle Park School District for many years. It is NOT affiliated with the Work-Family Connection program available in each individual building.

The ASYC operates on days that RP schools are open for FULL days ONLY. We are CLOSED on half days, early dismissal days, and days that school is not in session. Here is a complete District Calendar showing when we would be closed.

Students grades K-8 can attend the center from 3:00-6:00pm daily. The cost to register is a one-time $25 fee per child (which covers the cost for the YEAR). Unfortunately, transportation is NOT provided. If students wish to attend this program, you must arrange for your own transportation.

All ASYC Registration Documents can be downloaded and printed. They must be completed in their entirety and should be returned to the ASYC on our Registration Day: Thursday, September 5th from 3:00-6:00pm. If paperwork is incomplete, your child will not be permitted to attend.

Letter from John Ranieri, Director...

Hello Roselle Park Community,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the NEW director of the Roselle Park Anthony Signorello Youth Center’s after care program.  My name is John Ranieri and I reside in Roselle Park with my wife Angelina.  I am a proud father of four children.  I have been employed by the Roselle Park School District as a Physical Educator and Driver Education Instructor for the past 22 years.  I hold a BA in Health/Physical Education K-12, MA in Curriculum / Instruction and MA in Educational Leadership.

Aside of my primary duty as an educator in our district, I am privileged to serve as the Roselle Park Summer Camp Director.  In addition, I also serve our community as the Roselle Park Dad’s Club Vice President.

As the newly appointed director of the ASYC after school program, I look forward to building a staff that will assist in implementing the following programs that may include homework assistance, personalized tutoring, arts and crafts, science fun, and recreational activities. I also hope to foster and develop relationships between the younger students within the district and students from the high school by including volunteer members of the National Honors Society.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me

I look forward to an educational, fun and safe after care year.

John Ranieri

ASYC Director
